midnight-club-los-angeles.jpgRockstar has become famous for its GTA brand, but they also have other successful franchises such as the Midnight Club series. According to Eurogamer, afourth installment in the street-racing game is headed to the PS3 and Xbox 360 early in 2008.

Dubbed Midnight Club: Los Angeles, the game is being developed by Rockstar’s San Diego and will “redefine the idea of a completely immersive racing game experience, both offline and online,” according to company founder Sam Houser.

Not much is known about the game, but it can be deduced that it will not abandon the world of illegal street racing and car modding that has become the series’ great strength. The game is being expanded as Producer Jay Panek puts it: “Our goal is to evolve on all possible levels and stay true to the hardcore gaming experience the series is known for, while making it accessible to casual gamers and car enthusiasts.”
