PS3 v1.80 Firmware Released

ps37.jpgSony has released v1.80 firmware for the PS3, featuring upscaling of PS1 and PS2 games, and DVD movies up to full 1080p HD resolution when viewed on a compatible HDTV.

The update also adds support for Remote Play on the PSP through the Internet, allowing gamers to access their PS3 anywhere in the world where a broadband connection is available. Another update is the addition of support for DLNA3 enabled devices, letting users seamlessly view and play media such as images, music and video on the PS3 that is stored on compatible devices such as PCs and laptops elsewhere in the house. The PS3 now also has the ability to print photos stored to a selection of Epson printers.

The update is now available.
