Boll Planning Alone in the Dark 2
Yes, Boll is truly planning to make a sequel to Alone in the Dark, which I would give the title of “worst game movie ever”. According to film site Screen Daily, the horrendous filmmaker is in Cannes to promote his upcoming films Far Cry and Postal; it was also where he revealed his plans for the movie which he will not direct, thanks to scheduling conflicts. He will be on the Vancouver set of Far Cry, which is set to begin filming next month.
Tentatively dubbed Alone in the Dark 2, he plans on announcing the direct and cast shortly. The sequel will have a meagre budget of $7.5 million since the original was one of 2005’s biggest box office flops. However, the original film, starring Tara Reid and Christian Slater, has sold 1.1 million copies on DVD in North America since its release.
His next film, an adaptation of violent shooter Postal, will be released across theatres in North America on September 28. Beware.
