Japanese Hardware/Software Sales

No big movers or shakers this week. While the DS dropped off nearly 33% (likely due to supply constraints) everything holds on fairly firmly to their current positions. The PS3 continues to bring up the rear in the Sony family of consoles, and apparently Japan received over 2000 American immigrants, as there is no way they would actually be buying a 360.

- DS Lite: 111,213
- Wii: 52,193
- PSP: 27,505
- PS2: 10,881
- PS3: 8,659
- Xbox 360: 2,026

Slightly more shocking is the software side of things, where the PS2 controls two of the five top titles, and PSP one. Apart from that, a non-Nintendo console doesn’t appear again until spot number 23. No sign of PS3 or 360 anywhere in the top 50 software spots!
