WoW Wish Comes True for Young Cancer Victim
We all have bad days, but imagine living with cancer at the age of 10. That’s what Ezra Chatterton is going through, and that’s when his life changed: the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America came to him, asking him what he would like. His wish was to visit Blizzard’s headquarters, the developer behind phenomenally popular franchises such as Warcraft and Starcraft (let’s not forget Diablo).
He got just that.
Bringing light into the kid’s life, Blizzard upped his character from level 63 to 70, and decked his character in gold, among other things. That’s only the beginning, though: he got to create an uber in-game weapon, had a NPC created after him, had his voice added to the character, created a quest for it, and a whole lot of other things.
“If Blizzard is listening, I’d like to say thank you for everything you’ve done for my character to make him so good. I want to thank them for making the quest of the lost dog and the Old Rancher and all the stuff they gave us,” said Chatterton.

I like this story. That was really nice of Blizzard to do all that for that poor kid. More vid game companies need to do stuff like this.
