Coming Soon reports that a live action movie based on the Broken Sword series is being made. According to the report, legendary video game creator Charles Cecil and Revolution Software have teamed up with a Hollywood production company to transform his adventure games into live action films. The company is question is Jay Douglas and Nav Gupta’s CastleBright Studios.
The first film will be based on “The Shadow of the Templars” and will be the beginning of a film franchise. Specific details have not yet been revealed, but filmmakers are promising to stay true to the series’ fan favorite elements.
It is not yet known who will direct or adapt the movie to the big-screen, though big names from films such as Casino Royale and X-Men have come up. The movie currently has no release date and is only in the concept stages at the moment.

1MOVIES BASED ON EPIC AND BEAT EM’UP GAMES.
So there will be more video games going to action films with Broken Sword and Onimusha.
Broken Sword will be produce by the new Production company Castlebright Pictures,Onimusha will be another epic action produce by Gaga Communications and Davis Films and directed by Christophe Gans with John Collee,Hirohisa Soda,Choko Sakai and Lesley Krueger are the screenwriters and Takeshi Kaneshiro as Samanosuke.
Tekken will be in production with the story will be based on Tekken 2 and Kazuya Mishima as the lead,Jin Kazuma should be out of the picture until the next Tekken film and the Mortal Kombat producers Threshold Entertainment will be remaking Mortal Kombat movie and try out working on other video games like Capcom’s Darkstalkers series to turn them into live action TV series and motion pictures as the deal will be with Capcom.
