While Neversoft was not provided the code for either of the first two games, they have made a valiant effort to remake things closely enough that you’d be hard pressed to even know a developer switch had happened. A few tidbits like the swapped out points or star power meters are fairly obvious, the look and feel of the game remains the same. In an interview with IGN they acknowledge the timing of the game isn’t quite where they would like it, but with months of play tests planned, the developer will likely nail it.
The one thing that can be said about the third Guitar Hero title, is after all the support the first two titles have received, it will definitely be winding up with the best track list, hands down.
