Zelda II Arriving on the VC this Monday

Along with the news we posted earlier today about the virtual console selling 4.7 million in total was an announcement from Nintendo for this coming Monday. It would seem Zelda II, one of the more hotly debated titles in the series due to the departure from the usual game format will be hitting the virtual console shortly. This means we’ve nearly exhausted every major Zelda title, which is surprising that Nintendo wouldn’t have held out on its biggest guns (Zelda and Mario) for a longer period of time. More importantly, the early announcement coincides with Zelda II – The Adventure of Link being the 100th title to come for the Virtual console. In such a short period of time the virtual console has filled up and generated a lot of profit for Nintendo. With no signs of slowing down hopefully they’ll get into gear with their new downloadable content that has been oft rumored and promised.
