Nintendo Exodus

A lot of news about Nintendo switching offices has finally come to a head. While it doesn’t seem like a newsworthy event in the grand scheme of things, a move can often have more dire effects on a company. Or specifically those people that don’t want to move with the company. Since the move will only effect mostly marketing and PR folks, nothing development wise is hurt. However three big name executives, George Harrison, Perrin Kaplan and Beth Llewelyn are rumored to be parting ways with the company. While Nintendo of America is only a portion of the big Nintendo conglomerate, for us in North America, we’ve grown close to these executives as the face of Nintendo. If you follow Nintendo as a company at all, you are probably familiar with these names, the other being Reggie head of Nintendo America. Nintendo is denying rumors and calling it speculation, but we won’t really find out until after the E3 media event is complete. These execs have all been with Nintendo of American (through better or worse) starting in the mid 90’s. They will be sorely missed.
