The Wii would probably have done better, but shortages slowed down the sales. Again, the initial weeks were compared, not the whole period of time of which the consoles were on the market. The PS3 has sold 1 million in 9 Weeks, which is 111,000 per week. The Wii has sold 2,5 million in 24 weeks (circa), which is 104,000 per week. PAL territories have 5 times the population of Japan, so I guess it's doing far worse than Japan, furthermore, PS3 sold 500.000 the 1st week-end, nearly 800.000 the 1st month, so the last 2 months have been quite bad saleswise, the PS3 being trounced 2 to 1 & even 3 to 1 in some PAL countries by the Wii, wich was released back in December. So 6 months after release, the Wii is trouncing the new released PS3... At this rate, the PS3 could hardly match Wii sales in PAL regions. Cheers!!!
