It’s pretty hard not to be jealous of Japan these days. It feels like sometimes they get all the great products months before we do (although I guess Europe feels similarly towards us). Zelda, The Phantom Hourglass will be releasing there very shortly, and they are already running some commercials for the product. What’s really interesting to see is that after the outcry for Wind Waker, Nintendo reverted back to give us Twilight Princess, but in the end, most people realized cell shading wasn’t the worst thing in the world. In fact it sort of grew on us. I prefer link of twilight princess, but there is no denying the overall feel of the world is much brighter and stylized. The game is hugely tailored towards the DS. Will we be able to expect similar game play functionality in the next Zelda built ground up for the Wii? What’s certain is that I will be cracking out my DS, which has been dormant for a little while when this game finally arrives.
