From Frictional Games comes word that Penumbra: Overture, their survival horror game, has been ported to the Linux, letting deprived super-nerds get their game on.
Apparently, this was made possible due to the in-house HPL-Engine which was built from the ground up to be cross-platform, utilizing technologies such as OpenGL and OpenAL. A Mac version is in the works and is to be expected soon.

1The more games that support OpenGL/AL etc the better. It’s good to move away from PC games being Microsoft only with DirectX.
