Tamagotchi Movie Coming

Now you know the world’s going crazy: there’s a Tamagotchi movie coming! According to Reuters, a movie based on Tamagotchi virtual pets is being made and will make its debut later this year. The movie will see several Tamagotchi characters befriend a human girl who shows up at their home on a star.

“The Tamagotchi characters are pretty popular in their own right, and we thought it would be nice for people to see their favorite characters moving and acting in color,” a Bandai spokeswoman said.

Tamagotchi is a wildly popular pet simulator, letting owners feed, clean and do other stuff to his/her cute Tamagotchis. More than 40 million units have been sold globally.
