Tomb Raider: Anniversary Hits Number 1 in Europe

June 12th, 2007 Posted in Action, Adventure, PC, PlayStation 2 by Rajiv Ashrafi

tomb_raider_legend_gold.jpgLara Croft is the only woman I’ve seen age gracefully. Eidos today announced that Tomb Raider: Anniversary, the remake of Lara’s first outing, has taken the number 1 spot in a number of European territories on both PC and PS2.

The British seem to prefer their own kin more as they bought enough copies of Lara that the game went straight to number 1 on both platforms and has remained at that spot for a second week running. Other countries fared well, too.

More tomb raiding (and time with Lara of course) is in our fortunes as the success of both Legend and Anniversary have prompted Eidos to show interest in making a next-gen game. Let’s see how well that pans out.
