Valve Reveals Episode 2 Release Date

In an interview with Shacknews, Valve revealed the release date of HL2: Episode Two, coupled with Team Fortress 2 and Potal, which will hit the stores on October 9, 2007. It’s a simultaneous release on the PC (retail and Steam), Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The game has been delayed four times over the past year, originally scheduled for release in late 2006. Hopefully this time Valve will stick to their word and bring us the second episode just before the massive 2007 holiday season.

Didnt valve update their engine? and will have a dx10 update?
