Quake Wars Beta Coming

Activision’s multiplayer FPS will be getting a beta before the retail release, developer Splash Damager revealed earlier today. The beta will consists of a map called “Sewer”. which takes place in Japan and features both indoor infantry combat and outdoor, vehicle-based action.

The public beta will be open to 60,000 lucky players, and although it appears that game files are already available to download on FilePlanet, the beta isn’t activated yet. When the beta begins remains unknown, but expect it to go live in the coming weeks. The game was originally scheduled for release in August 2006, but after a few delays, the game is now set for release around August on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
