Earth No More!
On 3D Realms is the announcement of Earth No More, a new game from Recoil Games. It refers to the July 2007 issue of Game Informer for more information, stating that it has a few screenshots, interviews with the developers as well as additional information on the game.
Earth No More is being developed for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC for release during 2009. As per the post, the game will move away from the “lone hero,” but will also avoid a “squad-based direction.”
“‘We’re going to design almost every weapon in the game to where it’s going to have a sort of collaborative mode to it,’ said Miller. One gun called the Linker works like a reverse proton pack from Ghostbusters.” Apparently, enemies will also be able to team up. They are currently analyzing how group dynamics work by studying movies like the Alien, The Thing and 28 Days Later, hoping to emulate the kind of tension there in game form.
The post also says that a big announcement is coming soon… and no, it won’t be related to Duke Nukem Forever.
