Spore Delayed AGAIN

Quite possibly the most innovative game coming up has been pushed back again, this time as far away as possible. Since the unveiling of Spore at 2005, the game didn’t seem that far off from being released. The game was playable, the amount of things you could do was simply incredible, and it just seemed too good to be true. A year came and went, the game once again appeared at E3 more fleshed out than ever, and hear we are a year later, still waiting. Surely the game will again appear at E3 this year, but the saddest news is that this will not be its last E3 either.
CVG is reporting the game is currently pushed into fiscal 2009, which means at least April 2008. Where does this put the game? Optimistically summer 2008, more realistically probably not until the holiday season. The reasons for the delays are a little baffling, but the rumor mill has it, console ports are holding the project back in order for a more simultaneous release plan.
