Game Party begs for your Money

June 28th, 2007 Posted in Software, Wii by Brian Lockhart

So we already all know Midway is going to be offering the ultimate racing experience on the Wii, so if they had to pick any one game genre to announce along side it, what could it possibly be? Oh that’s right. Another Wii Sports/Wii Play minigame extravaganza clone. The title, aptly named Game Party will release with more than 6 title according to the developer, although the poster seems to indicate 9. All the basic obscurities that the Nintendo casual team hasn’t yet created are there. Darts, hoop shot and table hockey. As well as a full blown trivia mode. Along with Cruis’n, the title is set for the holiday 2007 season.

No details on pricing, but I really hope they don’t try and charge full price for this thing, tricking Wii Sports users into an unsmart holiday buying decision. I can only forsee all the dissapointed childrens faces who are expecting Wii Sports 2, and instead receive this under the tree. Oh the horror.
