Playstation Network Thursdays
Super Stardust HD, a downloadble game for $8 launched today with the weekly update of the Playstation Network. It’s the first time in a long while that the service has received any sort of content. Perhaps we can be somewhat grateful that Nintendo is withholding the Wii Ware channel from us until next year. At least then we’ll expect constant updates with new software.
The game really, looks, feels and plays like Geometry Wars. Instead of beating around the bush, it’s a Geometry Wars clone, with PSN hoping to hop on some of the action of the Xbox 360 popular original. Even the Wii has a full-fledged retail Geometry Wars coming, so we can see how it was easy to get jealous.
Those who love demos will now find Dynasty Warriors Gundam awaiting them. Finally, a bunch of new trailers have been added to the service including Grand Theft Auto IV, I Know Who Killed Me, Superbad, License to Wed, and The Invasion.

A Geometry Wars clone? Vice versa.
The original Stardust was created for the Amiga 500 in 1993 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stardust_%28game%29 ). This game follows that same bloodline.
