My Fourth Xbox 360 Is Now Broke
Last night, while playing a round of Gears of War online, my Xbox 360, my fourth Xbox 360 (the previous three broke as well), got the famous red ring of death. I first got one back in October, a week later, the DVD drive broke. They sent me a new one, which, a month later, broke because of overheating. Got a new one in December, then in January, it too failed, DVD drive again. They sent me a brand new one which was broken from the beginning. Now, the fourth console has broken because of overheating, again. Again.
And I know there are people out there on their 7th, 8th, even 11th console, yet Microsoft hasn’t acknowledged anything. As soon as I get it back, I’m putting it one sale, screw Microsoft. It’s a good console, but the hardware is pure shit.

Pointing out the failure rate of the 360, I have a friend who’s on his fifth console. But I’m glad that you haven’t experienced any problems, you’re one of the lucky few ones.

I sold my first one to my friend because I heard the launch consoles were going to die in a year, and that was correct, my friend had to replace his console that I sold him but he did get a free replacement and when I bought it, I bought it used off of ebay so it had been used twice already and I didnt think I had the warranty on it. Later on I bought another one and here comes another shocker, IT BROKE AGAIN!!! This time it was guitar hero 2’s fault, or maybe both because you’re right about the hardware being a piece of shit.

I might get two 360’s and then alternate them as each takes it’s turn being repaired or replaced.

mine has broken 2x’s already in less than a year. Over $500 worth of bullshi#. Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves.

Yea, I have had problems with them as well. I was on my third console when I finally decided to find a better way. I was surfing around the web and found this site called http://www.videogame911.com. It seemed like as soon as they got it in they had my machine checked out and ready to be fixed. They were amazing at xbox 360 repair and service. I had it back in no time and there haven’t been problems since. Now whenever any of my systems have problems I send it straight off to them and I haven’t had a problem since.
