dThe U.S. Army recruitment game, known as America’s Army, will be getting a big upgrade in the future. America’s Army 3 (or 3.0) will be built from scratch using the Unreal Engine 3, and will be released in Fall 2008. The current version, 2.8, will be upgraded throughout this year and 2008, until finally reaching 3.0, and the release of the new game. After that, the game will see periodic updates (3.1, 3.2 etc.) just like its predecessors.

America’s Army was launched five years ago (just in time for the War on Terror), has received 23 major updates and has been downloaded more than 40 million times.
