Auto Assault Is No More

Auto Assault, NCSoft’s failed MMO is shutting down on August 31. People who’ve paid past July 31 will get the money refunded. Over the years NCSoft has published many popular MMOs, Guild Wars, City of Heroes/Villains and Lineage 2, to mention a few. But their gamble on an MMO based on autos fighting each other in a post-apocalyptic world. The end didn’t come as a huge surprise, the subscription levels have be falling steadily for a long time, resulting in the merge of the U.S. and European servers last summer. R.I.P. Auto Assault, 2006-2007.
