Minnie Driver Tapped to Play Lara Croft

Reuters reports that Minnie Driver has been tapped to voice Lara Croft in ReVisioned, an online animated series debuting on GameTap. A veteran English actress, Driver has worked on films such as Tarzan (animated), Good Will Hunting and The Phantom of the Opera, as well as on the TV show The Riches. She had also provided voiceover for a videogame character in Jurassic Park: Trespasser.

ReVisioned will run in ten installments every week through August 23. The series will focus on artists reinterpreting the Tomb Raider heroine, the iconic Lara Croft, who has been played by a plethora of models, voice actresses and most notably Angeline Jolie in the blockbuster films.
