Happy Bungie Day!
July 7th, 2007 by Erich Jurgens in Action, FPS, Offbeat, Xbox360
Apparently the date 07/07/07 has some significance for Bungie. The best answer I got as to why is that Bungie’s lucky number is seven, and it is a recuring number in their games. Whatever the true reason towards Bungie liking seven, they have made July 7th Bungie Day. Naturally since this is the first Bungie day to land on a year that ends in seven (as well as the last one for a hundred years) this year’s is super special. To celebrate “Bungie Day”, Bungie released Xbox Marketplace content in the form of new Gamerpics and a Dashboard theme. A desktop wallpaper depicting a Red Spartan with a shotgun about to be done in by a Blue Spartan with an Energy Blade was also made available.
Most interestingly out of these “gifts” Bungie uploaded several Halo 3 Quicktime VR movies. There is one movie for each of the two new armer types, and two of the Brute Chopper. For those who don’t know, a Quicktime VR is basically a still, or animated, image that simulates being 3D by rotating around the scene or subject. Rotating is controlled with your mouse. If you have a slower internet connection (not specifically dial-up, but just slower in general), I would recommend downloading the videos as opposed to viewing them through your browser. The Marketplace content is only available for today, so be sure to get what you want right away. Happy Bungie Day!

I am getting tired of making comments only to come back to this site and seeing my number of comments continually going down … what is going on with that? At one point I had close to 1400 posts and now I am down to 1359? Why does DB keeping screwing me over for no reason at all?
Am I no longer allowed for some reason that I don’t even know about to post here? If that is the case I wish someone would just let me know instead of attacking my comments by just deleting them. I know that there has been someone who likes to use my account name in order to make me look bad by saying obscene or totally inappropriate comments … and really by now the mods should know the difference between MY authentic statements and those from people who don’t care for me … it is just way to easy to use any account name a person wants even if it is already being used. I feel as though I am being punished for something(s) I did not do. I really hope someone can come up with a suitable explanation for this stuff … atm I am not at all amused.

It’s probably because we’ve been cleaning up in some old posts (removing them), which results in the comments being removed or reset as well.
Other posts get updated with new categories etc., which sometimes, unfortunately, results in the comments being reset. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Anuban, man, we have had a lot of server changes and server rollbacks. It’s been hard on the writers as well, we lost a bunch of stories that were in queue. We apologize for the inconvenience, but it’s not about the post count, it’s about what’s in the posts.
