Surprise! Nintendo still rules the hardware charts in Japan. Another week has come and good, and the little consoles that could continue their competitive streak. The Nintendo DS still rules the roost, pulling in double the sales of the Wii. When supply constrains loosen up somewhat, it’ll be interesting to see if the Wii is just as big of a phenomenon in Japan as the DS Lite remains to be.

There is some positive news for the PS3, which sees it returning back to double digits. With a price cut looming, we may very shortly see the PS3 working its way up the list, finally bumping out it’s younger brother, but will Nintendo remain too speedy for Sony to handle?
