Sony Publicly Apologizes for Resistance

The power and might of the Christian Church might have been too much for Sony to handle. Following the Church of England’s uproar over the inclusion of one of its churches in Resistance, a PS3 launch title by Insomniac Games, the company has taken out a full-page ad in the Manchester Evening News to publicly apologize.
“It was never our intention to offend anyone in the making of this game, and we would like to apologise unreservedly to them for causing that offence, and to all parts of the community who might also have been offended,” wrote SCEE president David Reeves.
The Church of England also wants SCEE to support anti-violence campaigns as well as its educational department, in addition to modifying the game to remove the offending location.
