Tales of Symphonia Wii Confirmed?
IGN’s Matt Casamassina, prestigious game journalist he is, has some trouble keeping secrets. In the latest Wii-k in Review podcast, he accidentally blurted out that Nintendo will reveal a Tales of Symphonia sequel for the Wii, and that it was targeted for the end of 2008.That’s not all, he also said that an old Nintendo franchise will be restored and brought to Wii as well. While answering an email during the podcast asking whether there would be any Nintendo games that would come back from the dead in the form of a Wii or DS sequel, Matt gave this reply:
“Absolutely, there is one…”"…Yes, absolutely, totally, without a doubt, and of course I can’t tell you. But there’s a game, and you think it’s long gone, but it’s not.”
Matt Casamassina failed to specify whether the revived franchise would be for Wii or DS. Interestingly enough, Matt bleeps out some inappropriate pieces of the podcast, but makes no effort to censor these tidbits.
