E3: Boogie Soundtrack Steals The Show

July 10th, 2007 Posted in Simulation, Wii

Boogie was a title I held some mild interest in recently. EA is jumping onto the rhythm genre, and it was questionable how things would in the end turn out. It seems however that a lot of effort has gone into the title. I must admit though, it’s the amazing looking song list that has just set me over the top; I will without a doubt be picking up this title.

The title comes packed with 38 different tracks, most of them popular tunes, that are undeniably catchy. Usually in games like this, you’d expect a bunch of obscure songs, but that’s definitely not the case. You can re-live Girls just want to have fun, which by far my favourite song on Raving Rabbids. Others like Kung Fu Fighting, several titles from the Jackson Five, Y.M.C.A, and M.C. Hammer’s Can’t touch this. This is truly a collection of songs that make you just want to get up and Boogie!

While Guitar Hero 3 has taped the rock genre, Boogie goes it’s own direction with musical tastes, and I think a lot of the mainstream could find themselves quickly engrossed. See the entire list of songs after the jump.
