Microsoft has finally revealed an official price and date for the 360’s mini keyboard attachment. Microsoft also gave it a more technical name: the Xbox 360 Messenger Kit. It will retail at $30 US on September 25th. I don’t know if they’re using Stonehenge for a calender, but September is hardly spring, which is when it was supposed to ship. If you haven’t heard about the attachment yet, the Chatpad, as it is formally called, is fundamentally an alternative to using a regular keyboard, or the virtual keyboard that you type with suing the controller. The buttons will be back-lit for typing in dark rooms or at night. The kit will also come with a new wired headset designed specifically to work with the Chatpad.
