G4 Ruins Halo 3 Trailer
[kml_flashembed movie="http://www.youtube.com/v/6C-2LnSQZNU" width="425" height="350" wmode="transparent" /]G4 decided to broadcast the E3 press conferences live via television. Many fans were excited about this, and tuned in to watch. Although, near the end of the telecast, the video capture feed panned out of the video and got a picture of the television screen. Now, there are random people talking in the background and someone decided to say “You guys enjoying this?” and boom, the feed cuts to a commercial break before the trailer isn’t even done.
There are several theories about this online, such as the commentator is the host Adam Sessler warning fans that the video is about to be cut off, and the person whispering in the background is trying to get them not to put the commercial break on. It’s a pity that G4 offered something like this to its viewers and weren’t able to finish the broadcast. In addition to this, commercials aired during the broadcast, making people miss a bunch of the conference. It’s always good to just keep things online, guys.

Yes, I watched the conference on G4, and despite them saying at the beginning it would be commercial free, it broke to commercials multiple times. Which completely cut off the announce date for Mass Effect in the process.
But since I had to record it, I had to suck it up and deal with what they decided we needed to see and what we didn’t.
Since it was live, I think they were kind of playing it by ear on when to hit commercials, and the muffled mess that occurs here was a result of them doing so.

The broadcast wasn’t even live here on the west coast, though they claimed it to be, it was about 3 hours late. Not only did they not broadcast the trailer though, the next day they apologize and make up for the mistake by showing the trailer in entirety…yeah… they screw up again and end up showing the E3 2006 teaser, GREAT job G4!
