E3: Nintendo Media Packages Reveal DS Titles
July 12th, 2007 by Brian Lockhart in E3, Nintendo DS, Portable
So apparently everyone in attendance at E3 received some media packages that contained a list of upcoming titles for the consoles. Unfortunately, instead of deciding to actually talk about these titles which would be a new announcement, we instead were forced to watch multiple media montages. Over at Game|Life, Chris Kohler at least dropped the titles midway through his impressions of E3.
“Professor Layton and the Curious Village (the official English name) is on track for a December release courtesy of Nintendo themselves. As is Nintendo Magic, which I assume is Magic Taizen, a how-to game that shows you to do card tricks. Or Mario Party DS.”
So the Mario Party franchise is finally joining the Nintendo DS this holiday season. But seeing as the game is really only successful on the console with multiplayer, how will the handheld version fair? Professor Layton is a title I am very excited for. It received a lot of good press from Japan and sold well, so it should be something to keep on your radar. If of course you wallet can handle it with all the big titles coming out this holiday season.
