Today for the Super Smash Bros. Brawl daily update Samus’s Final Smash move was revealed, along with some shocking news: Zero Suit Samus is not an real playable character that players can select. Instead of being a conventional character, Zero Suit Samus is the side effect of players using Samus’s Final Smash.

The Final Smash itself is the “Zero Laser” move shown in the original trailer at E3 ‘06. Zero Suit Samus is implemented in precisely the same way as in the trailer: after the “Zero Laser” is used Samus’s armor simply falls off, leaving players with Zero Suit Samus. This is reminiscent of how Sheik was used in Super Smash Bros. Melee, but the actual depth as far as playing with Zero Suit Samus has not been revealed. After the power suit is off, players can pieces throw pieces of it at other characters.
