Fans of Namco’s “Tales” series of RPGs will be delighted to know Namco has spoken about their upcoming projects at a press conference in Japan; Four different projects in fact, three of which are all new entries into the series. The first of which, Tales of Rebirth originally released on the PS2 in 2004, will mark the third port the PSP of the series.

Nintendo DS owners can expect Tales of Innocence this winter. Wii and PS2 owners will get new entries into Tales of Destiny and Tales of Symphonia respectively. The first word of this announcement actually came several months back when hinted in the Wii IGN podcast by editor in chief Matt Cassamassina. He hinted at a sequel to a popular RPG on the Wii. Later he ruled out all other possible options, which caused many to conclude a Tales of Symphonia sequel was in the works. We don’t know anything more about the upcoming titles, but it’s likely that we will get an opportunity to see the games shortly, especially with TGS around the corner.
