Ever since we saw Home at GDC 2007, it’s been suspected that a version of LocoRoco was coming for the PS3. We now receive confirmation of the title, as well as a new name and details. The game is temporarily titled Buu Buu Cocoreccho! by LocoRoco whether it will remain distinct, or simply become LocoRoco HD remains to be seen. Which unfortunately the game will only be a PSN downloadable offering, with no retail version planned.

“It’s LocoRoco, but it’s not — a peculiar extra chapter.” “Even if you don’t play it [as in control the game], the world and the LocoRoco will play [as in both playing amongst themselves and as in playing back like a video] on their own.”

Apart from that, we do know the world will offer over 200 different LocoRoco characters, and naturally feature sixaxis tilt. Some cryptic quotes that are a little hard to muddle through were also included. We don’t know when the title will release, but Sony says it is 95% completed, which would likely land it somewhere within the next few months.
