One of the leading publishers and developers in North America and Europe, Eidos Interactive has announced that it has signed a three-year deal with Double Fusion to feature in-game advertisements in ten of its title, all currently in various stages of development. Advertising will be displayed in-game in several formats, ranging from dynamically-served advertisements, which can be rotated or changed after the game’s release, to deep integrations and product placements.
“This is an exciting and innovative opportunity for Eidos, we’re delighted to be working with Double Fusion and we fully believe that our titles will offer the perfect platform for the right media partners,” commented Jane Cavanagh, chief executive, Eidos Interactive.
Unfortunately, the games weren’t mentioned so that we could avoid them like the plague.

1Had my first taste of in game ads with the recently release BF2 map from DICE. Giant billboards out in the middle of the desert sprouting “Less Lag, More Frag” with an intel logo at the bottom. WTF would intel be advertising it’s components in the middle of a desert is beyond me.
I’ll put up with advertising if it doesn’t interfere with the immersion aspects of the game but i truly HATE IT! I paid $100 for a product I shouldn’t have to put up with advertisements AAAGH!
