Considering how underwhelming Vista sales have been, it’s not a big surprise that Microsoft decided it’s time to work on the next version. The next Windows, code named “7″ ,has been announced, and is set to be released in three years. Details are scarce, but it has been confirmed that “7″ will ship in both 32-bit, and 62-bit versions. Microsoft said that they are contemplating having some sort of a subscription model with the new Windows. If Windows “7″ does make the three year time frame, it will be competing with Apples own seventh iteration of Mac OS X.

332-bit? The only reason there’s a 32 bit Vista is because Intel pushed MS to support 32 bit, since a lot of their old CPUs are still 32 bit.
