Turbine has launched a referral program for The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, allowing its current subscribers to invite friends and earn credits for free game time if they sign up. It is also open to those who have gone the Founder’s route in the game, allowing them to offer the same price advantage to their friends. As an added bonus, they are also offering referral credit for every retail product key activation, meaning that current subscribers don’t even have to wait for their friends to subscribe before collecting the free game time.

Lord of the Rings Online is a MMORPG based on the world created by J.R.R. Tolkien in his classic literary work The Lord of the Rings. The game allows players to create characters based upon ones from his book and traverse Middle-earth, experiencing familiar areas as well as new ones. The game also allows players to fight solo or as a group; there are also other non-violent activities like cooking and farming, as well as the option to socialize with other users.
