Leipzig Convention To Boast 200K Attendants

July 26th, 2007 by Brian Lockhart in News

While E3 got reduced in size because it was too big, Leipzig threatens to turn the tables around, dwarfing even the busiest E3’s by over three times. Of course the convention is completely open to the public, which certainly helps the draw. Unlike E3 2006 where you had to at least have some minor connection to a Gamestop employee to get in, Leipzig welcomes everyone with open arms.

Of course, no show with a draw that wide doesn’t come with a bevy of exhibitors, 410 to be exact. The exhibition itself will take place from the 23rd-26th, but will be open on the 22nd to press only. A smart move, which allows both a relaxing environment for people to get their job done as well as a convention that everyone can partake in.

With E3 smaller in size this year, an many European developers remaining quiet at E3, we can surely expect some big things from Leipzig.
