360 Repair Times Taking Too Long

August 3rd, 2007 Posted in Business, Xbox 360 by Brian Lockhart

There is always something to nitpick at, isn’t there? Even though Microsoft had recently announced the new three-year warranty plan and free repairs to broken Xbox 360’s, many gamers are finding reason to complain. It seems the rush of repairs after the new plan was announced have led to longer wait times. Previously, the policy was 2-4 weeks for repairs, now however people are experiencing longer than expected turnaround times.

“As we are rolling the new policy out, we expect an increased number of calls and repairs so turnaround times may be longer in the interim,”

Customer service is offering a free month of Xbox Live to those who are stuck waiting for long periods of time, but a free month of Live often isn’t enough to go without your console for a month. It may now be free, but unfortunately if you need your Xbox repaired in the new feature, you’ll be paying by time instead.
