EA Drops Online Support For 40+ Titles

EA today announced that on September 1st, many of their titles will no longer be supported online. In other words, get your fix in now, because come September 1st you’ll be forced to move on. Most of the titles on the list are from their 06 lineups. Since all these titles already have a sequel on the market, and 2008 titles releasing shortly, EA expects you have made the upgrade.
Probably not a whole lot of people will feel the effects, as I can’t imagine anyone who would play these titles religiously haven’t also made the upgrade, but if you are one of those few, beware nonetheless.

Was Underground 1 still online? It’s one of the oldest titles out there xD.

I still do not agree with how EA runs its business at all. I’m not one to assume, but if any of those games have even a somewhat decent player base still then it is not right for EA to simply shut it down. If I buy a game, I expect it to play online for a loong time.
