Second WoW Expansion Unveiled

Blizzard’s BlizzCon keynote has just wrapped up, with the unveiling of the second World of Warcraft expansion, The Wrath of The Lich King. The new expansion will take place in Northrend, where players will be interacting with Arthis (from WarCraft 3) “in one way or another”, as they put it. Players will be able to reach level 80 now (level 70 is the current limit), and there will be new battlegrounds, arenas, and a new profession called “inscriptions”. We’ll post more details as soon as we get them.

Hopefully they actually get this out in Jan. I don’t think I’ll bother with it if it doesn’t come out until Jan. 2009
