Japanese Software Sales: The Death Of Dewy
August 4th, 2007 by Brian Lockhart in Nintendo DS, PSP, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox360
This was without a doubt a huge week for Japanese software. Quite a few top titles were released, many of them huge successes here in America, so when they all had to go head to head, the results were surprisingly. Not the most critically acclaimed title, but managing to beat out many of the other first week titles for Mario Party 8. Proving once again that Mario sells, regardless of perceived quality.
I think the saddest news was of one of the games lost in the shuffle. Although it was the first week of release, Dewy’s Adventure merely placed twenty of the list. Rumors were floating around that first day sales were an abysmal 1 thousand units. Perhaps the lesson is, don’t release against Nintendo, or else you’ll get burned.

“has been” Oh right! But never stayed. Next time read well what I say. I was talking for the current sales and not things in the past.
And would you pick MP8 instead of Elder Scrolls? I guess not… if yes you made my day.
