Warhawk Dedicated Servers Are PS3s

August 8th, 2007 Posted in Hardware, PlayStation 3, Technology

Warhawk director Dylan Jobe made a post on the official Sony PlayStation blog, where he describes what powers the Warhawk dedicated multiplayer servers – well, PS3s, of course! They call it “Integrated Game Server”, which is a fancy word for a whole bunch of rack mountable PlayStation 3s hooked up together to form game servers. You can read more about the setup here, and take a look some photos of all those servers PS3s.

Two more idiots making more idiotic statements. When I read your comments, all I read was, “Waaah, I can’t afford a PS3!!! Waaaaah!!!!”

Stop crying. Just because the PS3 is capable of server applications as opposed to my RRoD laden 360, doesnt mean you have to hate.
