Wii Fit Pricing And Release Date
A big question mark tends to hover over casual titles, or those titles with pack in peripheral devices. Wii Sports was hotly debated about how it would appear in our market. Most felt a full price would be overkill, but in the end Nintendo smartly bundled the software with the console.
Wii Fit is for better or worse the first real addition to the Wii line of casual titles by Nintendo. Once again Nintendo is taking a risk, and pricing is up for grabs. Gamestop now has the game listed as a 69.99 dollar title and for release on January 1st in North America. The later potentially seems more like a placeholder date. But there is a certain amount of marketability for New Year’s Resolutions if Nintendo did run with the first day of 2008. For now we’ll wait and see, but the real question is what is the right price for Wii Fit.
