Whenever huge gaming company starts playing around a little with the competition, we can’t help but perk up. Electronic Arts now owns 25 points of voting share in Ubisoft, and 15 points overall of the capitol of the company. While Electronic Arts holds the rights to vote for board members, at this time they do not have any plans to switch things up.

Arts said it reserves the right to raise its stake in Ubisoft, depending on market conditions, over the next year. It has no plans to seek to nominate board members, but could do so if the are any major changes in Ubisoft’s situation.

Buisness moves like this are often common place, but as the two huge third party gaming conglomerates grow closer together, the future could prove interesting.
