Retail Week: Madden and More Madden

August 13th, 2007 Posted in Nintendo DS, PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Portable, Wii, Xbox 360

Yes, finally Madden’s foray into ‘08 is available, and as such the EA team has kindly made available 8 different Madden titles for retail this week. That’s right, there are actually 8 systems receiving new games. Will you be a true Madden player and catch them all? (Wait, I think we’ve got the wrong franchise here). Regardless, if you like Football, you have no way of avoiding it. Sure you could be all 2007 and skip out this year, but then you wouldn’t really like football, now would you?

So maybe we don’t all love Madden as much as the sales would like us to believe. That’s why for the rest of us, we have truly great selections like High School Musical for the DS. It’s official; this is the greatest week in retail, in the history of the universe!

I’ll be picking my copy of Madden up later tonight or early tomorrow morning … most likely tonight. I like being caught up in the spirit of a release like Madden.

Guess I’ll have to lay off bashing EA … these days they are doing a better job with their games. An Army of Two looks sweet and they have other stuff in the pipeline that leads me to think they have learned a few things about how to treat employees and how to listen to gamers over the last several years.

Anauban, I think they realized ” you cant worry about numbers, u need to worry about quality” . I think they realized, after they lost the baseball rights, soon basketball and hockey. The only have madden left, in the last 2 years it sucked.. I thought 07 was an okay game, now u have 2k sports coming back and trying to take football from.. they took

    baseball
    basketball
hockey… and fans were saying f(() this, im gonna wait it out till nfl 2k comes out with another game.

Another thing about EA I dont understand is they ruin amazing games. Like battlefield 2, u take an arcade shooter.. meant to be an arcade style game and tried to make it real time sim. How does this work? I loved the dolphin dive, I loved the c4 throwing.. plus all of this was real. I guess what really ticked me off is that they took away the claymores and at at mines(killing ur ownteammates.

Why did it tick me off? Now u have retards leaving claymores in the main walkways. So people can run through them. It reminds me of a of a bridge being built, when its built the wave of the ocean(current) changes. Now, nobody likes to go in and fight. People just want to chuck nades for half of the round.

If EA would stop releasing patches, the games would stay awesome.

yeah, whatever u do stay away from the ps3 version… It’s so laggy like 07 was. How can u make a game better on 360, not so good on ps3 and completely crap on the pc? A good share of players play madden on pc.. I play 360 and pc madden. I want madden to look next gen on pc, why does it still look old gen. Come on EA, please take care of ur other costumers.
