Chipmunks Rhythm Game Announced

In case you haven’t heard yet (I only found out the other day), The Chipmunks, (you know, Alvin, Simon, Theodore) are making a comeback. They will be starring in their own motion picture, which will feature the chipmunks completely in CG, with of course live actors. Picture Stuart Little and you basically have the jist of how they will be handling it. Why? Because apparently Hollywood just can’t stop dragging up retro TV shows to be adapted to the big screen.
As with most movies comes an movie licensed game offspring. Fortunately instead of an action adventure at least the developers have had the common sense to make a rhythm game, which is a better fit for the character. With 40 songs from bands such as Run DMC, Blink 182, and REM, it even has a decent line up of music. Until we run into the one fatal flaw. The Chipmunks love to sing in their high pitched helium induced voices, in which all the songs in the game will be preformed. Something kids may love, while it may be the bane of adult’s existence. Fortunately this is a kid’s license, but consider yourself warned. The game hits for the not so next-gen systems PS2, Wii, DS, and PC this December.
