360 Price Reduction In Australia
August 16th, 2007 by Brian Lockhart in Xbox360
It seems that North America (for once), isn’t the only region benefitting from a price reduction. Australian 360’s have undergone similar price reductions on their 360. While the exchange rate seems off to those of us in other territories, the price reduction was essentially what we have already received in North America, with one slight difference. The 20 Gb unit has been reduced to AUD 579.95. Meanwhile, the Core has bee reduced to AUD 399.95, which is the current price point of the Wii in Australia.
With a 360 SKU now being priced at the same level as the Wii cause an upturn in sales? This may force Nintendo’s hand, with their system now priced on the same level as a High Def system. Or of course, sales could just merrily chug along in Australia, and Nintendo could continue laughing their way straight to the bank.

it’s a cassowary (sp?), last time I check ostriches don’t have a crest on their head ;-).
The XBox360 pricing is now really tempting, the only reason I’m not selling my Wii to get it is the hope of a decent game actually coming out for the system o_0 we frickin get Metroid in frickin NOVEMBER!

LOL! I have a 360 now, and a great gaming pc.. now I need a WII!!! Im trying to find one for my wife’s b-day but theyre so hard to find it’s sick. I try to go on ebay and get them but ppl do this sniper thing that auto bids for them.
I see the 360 nailing 50-100 million consoles sold. With the games coming out for it and the hd dvd upgrade.. I dont see why not.
