Crysis Special Edition Revealed

August 21st, 2007 Posted in Action, Business, FPS, PC

No one expected EA to ship a single version of the highly anticipated shooter Crysis, of course not, if any game is to have a Special Edition, it’s Crysis. For the usual extra $10, you get the now standard second DVD with behind the scenes stuff, a 32 page artbook (or pamphlet, actually), the official soundtrack of the game, and a “unique in-game vehicle”. All this packaged in a nice metal box, as one would expect. Oh, and the game is included as well.

I really wish this game will hurry up! I tried not to get excited about it. I did the same with bioshock.. I did it bc I didnt want to be let down if it sucked or get let down if it got pushed back. So far, I got let down lol on the last push back. I wouldnt watch that many videos but only read the stories. Now I watched the people playing the game and I have to tell u! It’s amazing, Now im excited to get this game.. Shark attacks,crabs,turtles.tornadoes.. even on MP.. the game is getting better and better!

I will be getting this SE, since I love seeing behind the scenes of stuff I like being made.

You guys know crysis will have 2 more games coming right! The guy said he wants a trilogy.

  2. James Hyde Says:

I won’t be getting Crysis right away, as I’m waiting for the new Intel desktop CPUs, which should be available December-ish (and the new Nvidia cards). In the meantime, Halo, CoD4, Quake Wars, SupCom expansion, Metroid 3, Super Mario Galaxy…

    etc. etc. etc.

  3. Anuban Says:

Not interested in the SE of this game … they needed to have included a cool action figure … but actually since I am used to spending $60 per game on the 360 maybe I will get this after all. As a matter of fact time to get to Gamestop today and put down my $5 on a pre-order.

  4. SasukeX Says:

This one is good. I suggest everyone to get this. It will be a good comptetitor for Halo 3!

  5. The Wicker Man Says:

LOl yeah, but anuban.. is somewhat right. I wish they would give an action figure.. I dunno, this game is gonna have a metal case too.. I dont care.. I want it now! Im hoping it ll fill my hole in gaming..same with cod4 and ut3

  6. The Wicker Man Says:

@ james.. why not? man, I swear some of u people buy crap u dont need. Crysis/ut3/next gen games are designed for the intel core 2 duo/quad. The only thing u need is a 9800 to max out crysis on dx10. if u have an intel core 2 duo just use that for a year or so..

This game will smoke on a intel core 2 duo.. no game even really tried to use the full resources.. and the first game to do it, people already want to ditch it…

  7. James Hyde Says:

Wicker, I think you need something more than a 9800. I got a 2.4 GHz Core2Duo, 2GB RAM and 7950GT. It’ll run Crysis pretty good, but I like to play at the best possible quality. So I’ll probably upgrade to a 3GHz, 4GB ram, and a new nvidia 9000- something graphics card. Then I finally plan on getting Vista.

Remember, the videos of Crysis looking gorgeous and running smoothly are on a core 2 quad, 4 GB ram and an 8800GTX (sometimes in SLI)

  8. The Wicker Man Says:

Yeah, but dude.. the guy said he was using a intel core 2 duo e6400.. and 4 gbs of ram. All u need is a 9800 video card..

james,do me a favor. Try crysis with a 9800 with ur current set up.. atleast try it. Cuz, theres enough power.. Trust me on this, I know this stuff like the back of my hand. Also, the 9800 is coming out a couple weeks before crysis.

  9. James Hyde Says:

9800? the GeForce 9800? I dunno Nvidia has announced it year, or are you talking about the 8800?

I though you meant the old ATI 9800!

  10. alimicky Says:

    hi.my system is: Cpu:3.8 full ram:2gb DDR2 vga:2(7600gs silnet)Sli= 1gb .can i run this game?

  11. The Wicker Man Says:

    yes, on dx9..

James hyde.. the geforce 9800 is coming out this nov.. trust me.. just trust me.
